customize the table format

I don't want every row divided by a solid line,
how can I customize the table format so every third row
is divided by a solid line? is that even possible in reporting service? I

You can customize the table format in reporting services.
To have every third row divided by a solid line, the Borderstyle of
the textboxes inside the table have to be set based on the following
expression
=iif((RowNumber("DataSet1") mod 3=0),"Solid","None")
where DataSet1 is the dataset name you are going to use..

your logic is correct, I specified it in default input of border style, it
draw all the four lines (top, bottom, left ,right) as solid lines, but I
really should just specify it on "bottom" input box of border style.

When I try to create a custom xml datatype I get the following error:
CREATE TYPE myOwnXMLType FROM xml;
Msg 15226, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Cannot create user defined types from an XML datatype.
Is there anything I can do ? Other types work fine (int, nvarchar(max)
etc.). I use SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition.

Custom error msg breaks my error handler

I added this line of code to my error handler script, in red.

User:criptError is a package-level string variable

User:criptError has a value assigned to it when another script encounters an error condition (which I define)

I added "User:criptError" as a read-only variable to the error handler script task.

messages = CType(Dts.Variables("errorMessages").Value, Collections.ArrayList)

messages = New Collections.ArrayList()

cursors problem

hi i am getting that message to update field value into table
Msg 16933, Level 16, State 1, Procedure RmDupValWSWCode, Line 39
The cursor does not include the table being modified or the table is not
updatable through the cursor.
I have two databases with same tables, in one database it work on that table
but in another database its not working on the same table with the same
data......

Custom Annotations on SRS 2000 charts

I would like to be able to put custom annotations on charts. Specifically I have a line chart I want to annotate. I don't want to indicate all plot points, just areas of interest. For example, on one of our line charts there is a value for a week (weeks are the x-Axis) that is way out of whack with other weeks. I would like to be able to display only that value, circle that location on the chart and create a custom note so that when the report displays, all users can see it.

All I've been able to find that I can customize on SRS line charts is to add all plot points and be able to change their shape and color and font size. I want to be able to do way more than that with annotations. Is it possible? I have .NET programming abilities so I'd be willing to write code to do it, I just can't find any examples of how I can write custom code to do things like this.

You may need to look at a 3rd-party charting tool such as Dundas Charts for Reporting Services. Unfortunately these are only available with RS 2005.

|||We purchased Chart FX for Reporting Services and it works like a charm, but this is for RS2005 http://www.softwarefx.com/SfxSqlProducts/cfxReportingServices/ . But I think there is not a version for RS2000 anywhere in the market... Sorry I cannot help much on this one.
